Curtain Makers in Woking Blog

Designers Guild Portfolio

Good morning,

I hope you’re having a good start to the weekend. I hope those of you with children have enjoyed half term! So its that time again when I show you some beautiful fabrics by one of the fabric companies we use and show you our Designers Guild portfolio. The Designers Guild fabrics are very popular with our customers and we are always happy to work with their fabrics as they are beautiful, quality materials.

Designers Guild Portfolio

We have been working with the Designers Guild fabrics for a while now and their extensive range has proved to be extremely popular with many of our customers. One of the owners of the company has recently been featured in the French edition of Elle magazine so I thought this is a perfect time to tell you about this company and their wonderful interior design products.

Since 1970 Designers Guild have built up an extensive range of fabrics, wallcoverings, upholstery and bed and bath products. They have an ethical trading policy which means they check every one of their manufacturers to make sure they do not use child labour or any other unethical exploitation. Most of their products are made from natural fibres and are recyclable.

Designers Guild Fabrics

I have used Designers Guild fabrics for many customers so I will show you some of the fabrics used in our very own Sophie Sews interior design projects.

In this Designers Guild guest bedroom I’ve used Bisenzio Marine fabric which is a Polyester/Linen mix. This room features goblet heading, blackout lined and interlined floor length curtains with white blackout roman blinds underneath. Co-ordinating cushions and throw teaming up with the Voyage Apollo fabric.

In this other Designers Guild guest bedroom I’ve used Ombrione Cerisse for lined and interlined floor length, goblet heading curtains. Matching cushions, throw and doorstop to complete the bespoke bedroom.

I have used the Ombrione fabric again in this living room but in the Ocean variation. This is a Designers Guild lounge with goblet pleat curtains ‘pleated to pattern’. All the curtains are lined and interlined for an extremely luxurious look. With matching cushions, throws and doorstops.
